SCTCC’s 2012 practical nursing graduates had a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-PN® (44 of 44 first-time candidates taking the national licensure examination).
SCTCC’s first-ever graduating class in the new Associate Degree in Nursing Mobility program had a 94.6% pass rate (36 of 38), placing them among the top ten in associate degree programs in the state.
Both programs provide a foundation and well-lit path for career mobility with associate or baccalaureate professional nursing programs. Students in these programs benefit from academic, lab and clinical opportunities to acquire the knowledge, skills and core qualities to become a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse.
In addition to a rich history of partnerships with the healthcare community, students in the PN and ADN programs enjoy hands-on application in SCTCC state-of-the-art simulation labs.
The new ADN program emphasizes care for aging populations in rural communities and demonstrates SCTCC’s commitment to meeting the ever-changing needs of our region with a skilled, compassionate workforce.
