Admission Information for International Students

St. Cloud Technical & Community College values the diversity that international students bring to our campus. Students are encouraged to apply six months prior to their anticipated start date to ensure sufficient time to process paperwork.

Required Process for International Admission

  1. A completed international student application form. (PDF)
  2. A $20.00 non-refundable application fee.
  3. An English translation of all official transcripts indicating completion of high school.
  4. Proof of English language proficiency, if not a native speaker of English (TOEFL, Michigan or transcripts demonstrating a satisfactory level of English proficiency).
  5. A completed Confidential Financial Information Form. (PDF)
  6. Current bank statements showing sufficient funds to cover educational, living and transportation funds.
  7. An affidavit of financial support from sponsor. (optional)

Important Facts

  • You need to be a full-time student, taking at least 12 credits, while attending college.
  • Health insurance will be required at the time of enrollment. Cost is approximately $900.00.
  • All international students will be required to pay the non-resident tuition rate (which is the same as the in-state tuition) and fees of $164.05 per credit.
  • For international student wishing to start in:
    Fall semester: the deadline* will be the last Friday in May.
    Spring semester: the deadline* will be the last Friday in November.

* By deadline, the Admissions Office means that all of the required forms have to be turned in and authenticated.
