SCTCC Advertising Students Excel at Minnesota DEX Career Development Conference

Students from the Advertising Communication & Design Program recently participated in the 2010 Minnesota DEX (Delta Epsilon Chi) Career Development Conference held February 23-25th in Mankato, Minnesota.

Nearly 400 students attended this years Conference, representing some 30 colleges and universities from throughout Minnesota.

DEX, an international organization, prepares college students for a variety of career areas. It's local chapters and state associations are a division of DECA, Inc. Delta Epsilon Chi is currently active throughout the U.S. and Canada.

DEX activities and events integrate with and enhance the SCTCC college curriculum in the respective program. In addition, their close ties with the business community provide both opportunities for SCTCC.

DEX student membership is an essential resource for Advertising SCTCC students, as they benefit from gained advertising, copywriting, campaign management, design skills and knowledge.

Students put their experience and knowledge to the test by competing for top honors in a selection of events from more than 20 career areas. In all events, students interact with business and industry professionals serving as judges.

Students receive gold medals as Finalists in each event and Top 3 finishers receive plagues of recognition.
