Star Camp

Registration for STAR Camp is now open.

STAR Camp (Students, Technology, And Robots) is an annual summer camp hosted by St. Cloud Technical and Community College for students in 6-8th grade who work in teams to build, program, engineer, and operate a VEX robot.

Throughout the week-long day camp, students rotate through the advanced manufacturing programs at SCTCC while learning how to weld, create 3D designs, machine tool designs for their robots, and program and build their robots. There will also be eight students from SCTCC’s manufacturing program, along with faculty members, to help mentor and guide the students.

One day is spent touring a local manufacturer where they see robotics in action. The final day of STAR Camp is spent in friendly competition with family and friends invited to attend and see what the students have created and learned.

If you have questions about STAR Camp, please contact Tom Garberick at 320-308-5213 or tgarberick@sctcc.edu.
