For the first time in program history, the Men’s Basketball Cyclones are on their way to the NJCAA DIII National Tournament.

The Cyclones nabbed the last at-large school bid on the NJCAA TV Selection Show last week and earned the #11 seed.

“This is the first time we’ve ever made the national tournament. I’m very excited and happy for the players and for the college,” said Coach Andy Cone. “We’re excited to see how we compete nationally.”

The tournament will be held in Rochester, MN, March 11-14. On March 11, the Cyclones will meet Hostos at 6 p.m. Both teams are in the top 11 in scoring in DIII Men’s Basketball.

If the Cyclones win, they will advance to face Eastfield on March 12 at 8 p.m. The at-large selections need to win four games total to win the tournament.

“This is a perfect time to show our true talent and as a team push ourselves on the floor and off the floor,” said Torez Kinchen, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, LA.

Tournament play will be at the Rochester Regional Sports Center on the Rochester Community and Technical College campus.

Daily passes are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tournament passes are $30 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.

Can’t make it to the tournament? The live stream will be available on NJCAA TV.
