On Friday, May 14, 2021, Governor Walz issued Executive Order 21-23 which lifted Minnesota’s statewide mask requirement, aligning with new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance on face coverings.
Throughout the pandemic, we have aligned to the Governor’s Executive Orders and guidance from CDC and MDH. We will continue to follow these guidelines regarding COVID-19 mitigation strategies.
Consistent with that approach, St. Cloud Technical & Community College will no longer require the wearing of face masks on campus effective immediately. We continue to strongly encourage individuals who have not been fully vaccinated to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces in accordance with CDC and MDH recommendations. Fully vaccinated individuals who wish to continue to wear a face mask are welcome to do so.
Social distancing, capacity limits and other infection prevention measures continue to be in effect per the Governor’s Executive Orders.
As always, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 transmissions in our area and be prepared to pivot to greater prevention measures should our local situation and guidance change. COIVD-19 remains present in our communities and we encourage individuals to practice mitigation strategies and to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Available vaccines can be found by using the vaccine locater.
