St. Cloud Technical & Community College has been ranked thirteenth in Value Colleges’ “Top 50 Best Value Community Colleges of 2016.”
SCTCC’s small class sizes and 97% placement rate for graduates helped secure the high ranking in the nationwide list. Its programs in civil engineering and energy renewal were called out as reasons students are sure to get top-tier preparation for the workforce.
“I am very pleased that our colleges have been recognized as the outstanding educational investments they are,” said Steven Rosenstone, chancellor of Minnesota State. “All of our colleges and universities are committed to providing students with access to an education that is both extraordinary and affordable. That Value Colleges recognized so many of our colleges is a testament to the outstanding work that faculty and staff do every single day.”
The Best Value ranking considers only regionally accredited institutions and ranks them according to graduation and transfer rates, mid-level salaries for graduates and actual cost of attendance.
