With the Cyclones Volleyball season underway, the team has already nabbed a top-ten spot in the NJCAA national rankings, and two players have been recognized as MCAC Players of the Week.

Rilee Hohbein, a sophomore from Holidingford, was named the MCAC Hitter of the Week. She had 38 kills and hit .308 the last week, where the Cyclones had a 4-0 performance at the College of DuPage Tournament.

Tori Nelson, a sophomore from Willmar, snapped up the Defensive Player of the Week title. Nelson leads the MCAC in total digs and had a single-game high of 41 digs against Harper College last weekend at the tournament.

The first NJCAA Division III National Poll came out Sept. 3, and the Cyclones squeaked into the top ten at the 9th spot.

The team is 7-1 overall after starting the season Aug. 23, during which they played in two tournaments. The Cyclones meet Anoka-Ramsey at home on Wednesday, Sept. 4 then travel to Minnesota West for a Friday, Sept. 6 game.
