Accreditation
This program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The ADN Mobility Program is seeking national accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc.; the program is a candidate for this accreditation with the expectation of obtaining national accreditation in 2013. St. Cloud Technical and Community College’s (SCTCC) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program provides the students with academic, labs and clinical opportunities to acquire the knowledge, skills and core qualities to become a registered nurse.
Students are provided an opportunity to become a registered nurse through progression of nursing assistant to licensed practical nurse to registered nurse. Students who complete the ADN program will have the opportunity to apply to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program demonstrating SCTCC’s commitment to a well-lit educational path, reflecting the community’s needs and SCTCC’s responsiveness through this mobility program.
Process
This professional education program is a combination of classroom lectures, simulation labs, clinical activities, along with other numerous learning opportunities. The program is demanding and quite rigorous in the scope and depth of study. In this program, you will be expected to display personal responsibility and understanding of the requirements of the program and profession.
