Students MUST be a Current Student (applied and accepted to SCTCC).
Students can apply with prerequisites in progress, MUST be complete prior to the start of the program. Priority will be given to students with all prerequisites complete at the time of application.
Each prerequisite and General Education course may be taken 3 times.

Nursing Mobility is a rigorous program designed for LPNs who aspire to pursue an Associate Degree in Nursing to become a registered nurse (RN).
The A.D.N. program is a 2-semester program that begins each fall semester.
Fifty students are accepted each fall semester.
The A.D.N. program is a full-time program only. Classes Monday - Thursday
There is no additional testing because it is a national exam, but will need to pay the fee for licensure in MN. Students must be licensed by the State of MN to be employed in MN.
The A.D.N. application window is open December 1st through February 1st and can be found at http://www.sctcc.edu/nursing-adn-application.
Classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday.
Clinical sites include: The majority of clinical days are at St. Cloud Hospital. Other sites are CentraCare-Long Prairie, CentraCare-Melrose, CentraCare-Sauk Centre, First Light-Mora and Quiet Oaks Hospice. The rural sites are 2 clinical days. The furthest travel time from SCTCC about 50 miles.
St. Cloud Technical & Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. NURSING ATI TEAS EXAM FAQS
- The ATI TEAS test is offered through the SCTCC testing center. You simply register to take the test yourself (see registration information below)
- The test will be given in person in the testing center at SCTCC. Students will want to be sure to arrive at least 10 – 15 minutes early for their ATI TEAS exam. When arriving for the test, be sure to park in Lot A, and enter through Door 4. The ATI TEAS exam will be offered in Room 1-456/458. Students can feel free to have a seat on the bench in the hallway outside the testing center. Our testing center staff will call you back when the test begins.
- You ATI TEAS testing must be completed by the end of the application period.
- You register for the test at the following website, www.atitesting.com
- Create or log-in to student account at atitesting.com
- Click “Online Store” on the upper right hand corner of the screen
- Select “Register for… TEAS” on the left hand side of the screen
- Underneath “About the TEAS,” select “Register Now”
- On the “TEAS Registration” tab, choose “In-Person”
- For “TEAS Proctor – Program type” select “TEAS for Nursing Students”
- In the field for “Search By,” select “Location”
- For “City,” enter “St. Cloud”
- For “State,” choose “MN”
- Where it asks for “Zip Code,” enter “56303”
- Click the “Search” button
This should display all available test sessions. Although tests are offered throughout the entire year, they are usually only displayed for a month or two in advance. Be sure to select one of the test sessions offered at the “St. Cloud Technical and Community College” location only. This will ensure that our Nursing program will be able to access these scores at the time of application. Students can take the ATI TEAS test at a different location but scores must be submitted by the last date of the application cycle to be considered for acceptance to the program. NOTE: you will need to contact ATI TEAS at www.atitesting.com and request an official transcript be sent to SCTCC. There is a cost for this service.
ATI TEAS test scores are good for three years at time of application. If, when applying, it has been more than three years, you will need to take the ATI TEAS test again.
Students can take the ATI TEAS exam up to three times per calendar year.
- TEAS exam results of 52.0 or higher are acceptable for the PN program.
- TEAS exam results of 56.0 or higher are acceptable for the ADN program.

Students have the option to submit a previous ATI TEAS Exam score if they have already completed the ATI TEAS Exam within the last three years of time of application. The applicant can use that score with their application, or choose to retake the ATI TEAS Exam with submitting a previous score (the higher of the two will be considered).
The ATI TEAS exam is comprised of 170 questions set up in multiple choice format with four-option answers. Questions are designed to test the basic academic skills you will need to perform in class in the four (4) areas of:
- Reading (53 questions/64minutes)
- Math (36 questions/54minutes)
- Science (53 questions/63minutes)
- English and Language Usage (28 questions/28 minutes) Total of 209 minutes (3 hours 48 minutes)
Upon completion of the ATI TEAS exam, your test will be scored immediately, allowing you to view your ATI TEAS score report at that time.
